Global Studio

This Case Study was part of a month long study conducted with children where by RePlay was used as part of a bidirectional participatory design process within an applied architectural planning context in the Kabadkhana housing community in Bhopal, India. This was part of a project called Global studio whose focus is to promote community-driven projects that share a common goal: the promotion of inclusive urbanization through innovations in participatory design and planning.

These images were taken during a RePlay session with children from the Kabadkhana community whereby we were probing them about there needs and desires for their community.

This Case Study was part of a month long study conducted with children where by RePlay was used as part of a bidirectional participatory design process within an applied architectural planning context in the Kabadkhana housing community in Bhopal, India.

Via this Process we then had the children participate in mapping exercise whereby they detailed some of their wishes for developing infastructure at their local school.

Based on the maps created by the children from doing a RePlay we then coded their drawings and developed a table of needs and or requests for improvements to their school.

Based on our proposed solution for the short term, mid-term and long terms needs we came up with a proposal. Below is an image from our proposal.
